Should have listened

I guess it has been far too quiet lately. With the winter holidays having come and now gone, a went on. I was not kind to myself I am afraid. I was over worked at work and then proceeded to exhaust myself at home too. My husband did warn me of this and I didn't really take it to heart. So the Universe saw fit to make me lethargic at first, then all  out sick the next day. Half of my vacation has been going through and recovering from illness. I am unhappy to say that this was what my husband's intuition and the angels were trying to keep me from. I hope to listen better next time.

Its been a very stressful time for the past two weeks. With all of the holiday traveling now was not the time to have stuff crop up at work. But it did. The store is out of control, so I went the right way and sent a message to HR. Now I am getting into it and very stressed. Angels be with me. We will see how this all turns out.

Not many people know this but archangel Michael is the angel of snow.Yeah, surprising right? With the winter season coming right along and the potential for bad and cold weather I thought I would include a little charm to help keep everyone safe. Before you travel in the morning or go on a longer ride, stand by your car with your keys in hand. Take a deep breath and call on Michael. Thank him for protecting you as you go on your way today. Then hold up your keys and jingle them so they make a pleasing noise. You can jingle them in front of your car and imagine Michael surrounding your car with his energy. WHen you have the visualization in your mind say,

"With a jingle of keys,

Archangel Michael appease,

Through good times or foul,

His presence is found."

With your spell done get in, warm up, and get going!

Winter Weather and Storms

With that change in the air, drop in temperature, and the quick coming sunset you can finally tell. Winter is coming. That means plenty of activity in malls, churches, and with families. For me this time of year is swept with activities and rushing around like crazy. Emotions are effected by the change in light and weather. The energy in the air is still and cold, causing people to huddle within their homes. Some people are mentally effected by the weather and change. They can become easily depressed or emotional. It happens and is another way we see how the cycles of nature effect us.

Myself, I have started to feel the mental shift in my body. My emotions are on my sleeve and my energy can drop like a dime. Thankfully I have gone through a lot and learned so much. I think I'll be able to handle myself this winter just fine. I did end up driving two hours in the huge storm. From kentucky to Ohio. The drive down was wet and unpredictable. So in the midst of my drive down I asked Michael to help me get there and back home safely. Well, I did get there safely. Imagine my surprise when my husband began texting me about this huge storm that would be striking around the time I was planning to drive back. I left a bit early from kentucky and headed back home. Although I made it into Ohio before the storm hit, a huge traffic jam had me stuck. I fretted, hoping to avoid the storms. Yet when traffic finally let up I was stuck in the midst of the rain. Nervously I called to Michael. He was there, instantly. It was if he had been there all along, which he had, and only let me see him when I became scared. I asked many other angels for comfort as I drove home stressed and tired. Thank you angels!

Confirming

Listening for and to spirits is a bit tricky. On one hand they know things you can only dream about and on the other hand you need to keep up a healthy level of suspicion on what you are interpreting. Especially when you communicate with more that just angels. I work with land spirit, spirit guides, and more so keeping a validation system helps to keep me sane. Even with angels, keeping a confirmation system with them can be affirming and helps keep your mind focused. 

Whenever you connect with an angel, ask them to give you a specific sign to confirm your connection and message were valid. Then keep your eyes open for said signs. This can be a dove, dragon, blue flag, or any thing they know will have relevance to you. And don't be surprised if your dove sign ends up being a bar of dove soap. 

Good news and new goals

Well now that I know what the angels want from me next I am kind of at a loss for words. I mean really, how do you start a living with that? Anyways, good news came yesterday. My husband and I bought a house! We will be moving in december. Just in time for the holidays! I know the angels came through and helped us find a good place. Maybe it was a little nudge towards my next goal. Maybe.

For today I did a little smudging and invoked Michael to keep our current home safe. Once I get to our new home I am sure I will do it again. I plan to have an office for the work to come with my altar and magick stuff in our fireplace room. Oh the joys of owning a home. I can't wait!

A Day at the Bazaar

So yesterday was the local UU church bazaar. I set up a table with a few paintings and information on the organizations I am part of. As am added bonus I was doing angel readings. I'm not sure why but I had been given clear inspiration to do them. So I was only a few table down from the tarot readers (which was awkward) and my reiki teacher a couple tables the other way. There I sat.

I ended up giving about five angel readings and talking about the different groups I was part of. People loved my paintings but not enough to buy them. Ah well. The important thing was that I gave the messages I needed to. On the first reading I could feel my head tingling and opening up. It was an amusing and weird feeling. I helped ground myself with reiki, so that did help. I had a lot of fun despite a terrible profit (i asked for a donation instead of a price for readings). Yay for the angels, and for cookies.

Spirit Collection Spell

Spirit Collection Spell - Angel of Death Retrieval

At this time of year the membrane that keeps people blind to spirits thin and people become aware of the unseen world around them. Many people could encounter animistic spirits, guides, or totems. Others experience their departed loved ones and ancestors. Then you have places that stir with unhappy or harmful ghosts. Those who departed with unhappiness in their hearts and stayed close to this plane of existence. For these spirits, who have done or want to do harm, a spell has been crafted to call upon the Angel of Death to guide these spirits homeward. 

Supplies:

• Black or grey candle (and holder)
• white paper
• grey, silver, or black marker
• fireproof bowl 
• any decorations for altar
• image or statue of the angel of death
• small bag of salt 

Set up your altar for spell work. Place the candle in the center of your altar. Set your paper, salt, and marker close by. The representation of the angel should be in back of your candle, laying flat or at a safe distance from the flame. Place the fire proof bowl in front of the candle. Feel free to cleanse or smudge the area before you begin. 

Sit or stand before your space and bring your hands to your chest, above your heart. Take in a few deep breathes and close your eyes. Visualize Azrael, the angel of death, standing in front of you. If you feel intimidated by the angel ask that they give you a little room until you feel more comfortable. Hold the visualization of this angel and after a moment see them stand on the other side of the altar from you. When you feel their presence continue. Say,

"Oh angel of gentleness,

Most patient and kind,

Tonight I send you swiftly,

Restless spirits to find,

Guide them homewards,

To places that shine.

Where moonless nights,

Leave no one blind." 

Take up your paper and marker. Write the places that you or others have experienced unhappy spirits. These are the ones that may be harmful, overly mischievous, or be negatively effecting the living. You may not know which spirit is doing these things, so writing down the place and address (if possible) is ideal. This way the angel can tend to any of the spirits they need to. Once you have written the places fold them up. In your mind, imagine the place and once you can 'see'  it clearly, set the paper on fire with the candle. Place the burning paper in the bowl. You can do this for multiple places if you need to, even your own home to help cleanse it. Once you  are done relax and close your eyes. Address Azrael and kindly ask them to tend to these places. Thank them for their assistance and continue. 

Open your eyes and pick up the small bag of salt. Pour the salt over the burnt paper until they are completely covered. Using your finger draw a spiral from outside to the middle of the bowl. Pick up your angel representation and place it in the center of your salt spiral. Blow out your candle and say,

"All life moves steadily to one end. May Azrael guide the restless to the shining places."

Keep your angel up for atleast three days. You can perform this at any time of year. New moons work best and Samhain or Halloween are the most active. 

Being Angel Read

Last night I had a chat with one of my favorite angel authors. There were five of us having angel readings done. I was the middle person and I listened carefully to everything she said. I took notes and went through them later to highlight the portions that stood out. So what did the angels have to say?
  Well among the sweet things that were somewhat personal, the over all theme was...

"Stop being lazy and get down to business. You're space is so cluttered that you are wasting money buying things that you already have buried in the clutter. Instead organize and create what you want for yourself." 

There was a lot of focus on my behavior toward space management. I told my husband this and his response was "you realize I now have angels on my side." Well that is tough love for you. In the chat I was the only one to have two angels step up to help me with this phase of my path. Which makes me feel a tad better. Even if one of said angels gets annoyed by all the clutter in my office. I have a feeling that angel #2 is the one sympathetically patting me on the shoulder. We will see how it goes.

Angelic Sigil Spell

Sigils are symbols created to focus and upon and be charged for a certain purpose. This sigil was created as a focus for communication with the angels. Around the outside in angelic script is a short prayer to the angels to open up the lines of communication and guide us. Then there are the names of some of the angels I have worked with. At the top is the name of archangel Michael, who is the commander of heaven. The symbol of life and magick, the ankh, sits between wings representing the angels as messengers of the Source.

To charge a sigil you print it and cut it out. Hold it in your hands and close your eyes. Ask the the angels to connect with you and help to raise your vibration to connect with them. Imagine that request as a ball of energy within your heart. Let it glow brightly as you focus on your request. After visualizing it becoming as bright as it can, imagine the ball moving from your heart, between your arms and down into your hands. Once there it flattens and merges into the sigil.

Now that the sigil is charged you can place it where its energy will flow best. Or you can burn it and let the energy move into the Universe.

Places to put the sigil:
-under the bed
-inside a stuffed animal
-Inside a pillow or sachet
-on your altar
-under your favorite angel statue

Spirit Guides Vs. Angels

There are many types of spirits and helpers. Spirit guides are very popular in the new age and metaphysical communities. Spirit guides are spirits of people who have passed, made peace with their deaths, learned from their lives, ascended, and decided to work as guides for other people. They have been human and can understand human experiences. They always seek to support their charge and help them grow spiritually.

Angels on the other hand are said to not have human experiences. Their energy is not the same as a human spirit or soul. However, recently in Angelic Pathways by Chantel Lysette, it was put out there that in history angels have incarnated as people. These lives that the angels incarnated as played such a huge, if not destructive, part in history that a human soul would be unable to take the burden of the experience in their afterlife. I am not entirely sure of that, but it is an interesting outlook. I don't believe in a hell, punishment for sin. I think all things happen for a reason and we all end up in the same place. Getting back on point...

Everyone has a spirit guide, if not more, just like everyone has an angel. They work great together and can work through each other as well. So if you are unsure about one, you can ask the other to work with them.

No Labels

I meet very few pagans who freely experience angels outside of the Christian or Abrahamic thought. Not many feel 100% comfortable working with angels, even less in magick or rituals. But there is something to remember. Angels are privy to things that we as limited human beings are not. They see farther and longer than we could hope to at this time. In this way they don't serve a god so much as they do the Source. Source being the great energy, consciousness of the Universe. How one person sees Source is different from any one else. So the angels have no problem working with people who are in harmony with the Universe  and Source. My version of Source takes the form of gods, egyptian ones in fact. The angels have never told me that I was wrong or shouldn't worship the gods. They see things from a much clearer perspective. 

  So open up your hearts to the angels and start getting to know them. 

Angels know what you NEED

  There is a certain attitude in magickal practitioners that has been around for a very long time. It originates all the way back to the summoners of angels. The practitioner would draw their symbols, do their chants, cast and presto! Angel. They summoned the angel they desired, even if it was not the angel they needed.

  Some practitioners get into searching for their guides and angels as a way of connecting with themselves or their needs. But once in awhile the preconception of the person can get int the way of the messages, energy, and angels they really need. For instance, a friend of mine has been seeking to connect with archangel Michael. I suggested techniques and ways to connect, but further on in the conversation the motivations emerged. My friend is a very active, fiery energy with obvious masculine tendencies. He wanted to connect with Michael because he thought they would be compatible. Plus he really wanted to see the big flaming sword. Well I let it be. The next day I was in a chat with him and a few other people and felt urged to give angel readings. My friend's turn came. Turns out that this wasn't the right time to connect with Michael. What the angels wanted to tell him was that he needed to connect with angels of humility, mercy, and compassion at the time to help balance his active energies.
   This bring me to the topic at hand. Sometimes we think we know what we need. The angels definitely know what we need. So when you ask the angels for guidance, you can and should always ask for what you need at the time. Because even if you don't know, they do.

News from Angels

So I have mentioned before that the angels seem to come and go with me. Some days I feel them around me, other days its quiet. Recently I have been swarmed with their energy. This thursday my husband has an interview that will decide whether we will be moving or staying for a few years. Whatever the result, the angels seem to think that this will mark the time for me to build my own reiki practice. Not only a reiki practice but also an angelic practice to help connect people with the angels.
   I'm over their news, so the logistics are still in the works. I am hoping to be able to figure that out later down the line. wish me luck.

Sharing a story

I realized, after all this time, that I barely share any of my angel stories. I feel a bit apprehensive because I don't remember many of my stories after awhile so it feels like I don't have many. But I have written one or two down so I will give you one of those. Enjoy!

I have never been fearful of death. My mother worked as an administrator for Hospice since I could remember. Even before that I was accustomed to the fact that people are not invincible. I was born only three years before my mother's parents passed away and the only one of their grandchildren not to be terrified of my grandfather. As I grew older I began to experience many things from new step-parents to many many new pets. I explored my spirituality and found a passion for my beliefs. 

When I first started communicating and connecting to angels, I was in high school. From freshman year and onward I found that connection strengthening. Even if I did not talk to them for months at a time while I dealt with new experiences in college they were still there. It has been thirteen years since I first started talking with angels and I am still being surprised. I would like to share one of these surprises that, looking back now, seems to fill in the gaps for the strange occurrences in my 

life.

About a month or so ago I decided to make my focus this winter on healing. I wanted to heal myself, my past wounds, and emotional scars. I meditated and tried to work through the experiences that hurt me so badly as I grew up. I used the chakra system as a guide in dealing with issues one at a time. My childhood was not very stable and I can barely remember the time with my first step-father. I found out in my teen years that he had been an angry alcoholic and would get in yelling fights with my mother. My brother blames him for my sudden personality shift from an extroverted child to a quiet, introvert. Thankfully he was not in our lives for very long, but those memories are still fuzzy. In trying to work out past wounds I hit a snag on my very first chakra. The root chakra develops and solidifies around the age of seven. 

The period around which my first step-father would be leaving my life. This chakra deals with stability and at the time of its development I had very little. While thinking this over in bed one night and the effects it must have had on me, I closed my eyes. I tried to visualize what my bedroom had looked like at that time. At that point in my childhood I used imaginary friends and daydreaming to relax my mind before bed. Each night I would visualize and talk to my imaginary friends. I had so 

many I could barely remember them all. As I relaxed, trying to imagine my old room and my childhood self I saw in my mind's eye a figure by my old bedside. This imaginary friend, or so I termed it, looked like a snow princess. She, or he, was decked out in silvery blue with long white hair. They were beautiful with a bitter sweet smile. In my mind I knew that smile, but I could not place it. So I let the image of the figure at my childhood bedside play out. They would sit with me each night and help me get to sleep. My mind was still trying to place that sad smile. I held the visualization of the figure until I realized where I knew that look from. 

Whenever I feel or visualize the angel Azrael that same bitter sweetness comes with him. The smile was the same. Only now I see him in a black suit with shoulder length, wavy blonde hair looking dapper and clean. But the smile had not changed. I realized that Azrael had been with me long before I ever started speaking with angels. He was with me each night trying to comfort me into restful sleep and he still does to this day. Realizing that I allowed myself to relax in my bed and thanked Azrael. I came to terms with the fact that I may never remember what happened at that time in my childhood and in some ways I am sure it is a blessing. I continue to be comforted by 

the angels and guided as I continue to heal myself.

Lifting Up

   Sometimes I sit at my computer and begin to watch my shows. Shows that somehow bring the angels closer to the surface and much more accessible. They bring our energies up and ready to receive that connection.
 
   If anyone reads or follows my posts they know that my life moves in seasons. At one time I'll be reading up on Shinto, at another time I'll  be connecting to spirits of the land, then we'll come full circle back to the angels. And they understand this for me. Currently I am not sure what I am focusing on with the angels. All I know is that they are back and will probably be hounding me over something or other. Yes, the angels can be hounding. And yeas, they can be exacting and a bit pushy. Yet they are still going to be there with you to support you.

  Still not sure where they'll take my eyes and focus me. We'll see.

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel

"Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,

thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits

Prayer of protection. Michael responds very well to it. 

Light a white candle and say the prayer. Ask Michael to aid you in protection.

Alongside the angels

It seems I haven't posted in awhile. Whoops. So sorry about that, just had so much going on.
Thanks to spirit and the angels, and many spirits, I've been able to take Reiki level three training to be a certified Reiki master and teacher. Raphael has been with me in spirit for this journey and it has meant a lot.
  I have also been selling paintings and even have them hung in a local UU church gallery. Has been fun to see them up.
As in all seasons, the angels have been a moving and a shaking. Quiet at times and loud at others.

Possible update: I may be moving the blog from this user account to another for local use. i hope you all stay with me for this.

Today and tomorrow are great days to celebrate the summer time angels. They bring warmth, light, and life. Asking for their blessing at this time helps in many areas in your life. A few of these are for protection, healing, abundance, and more!
Michael is a popular summer time angel and top of the Solstice list. Kerubiel, Uriel, Iophiel, Ariel, and Ambriel are also top choices.

The Spirits that Cooperate

After working with the angels for so long, I have come to meet many different types of spirits. Those that are twined in nature and those that linger in different places of the spiritual realms. And angels enjoy cooperating with many of these spirits. There is one type that has been very persistent in working with both humans and angels.

Dragons..

Dragons are powerful, wise, energy workers. They work in many different field of nature. Some angels, such as Cassiel and Uriel, are associated with dragons. Beside angels, dragons are one of the most iconic images in myth and culture. So, in the spirit of this fine team, fly on together!

Back on my Table

I know I have been a bit quiet. But there are many things going on around me right now. The angel book I had hoped to write is back on my table. I am excited to continue this work and have gained a few insights into who is helping me push this forward. What I hope to include in this book:

-angelic profiles
-angel spells and rituals
-ideas on how to connect with angels
-touching on angels not mentioned before.
-stoke the curiosity of others about angels
-and more!

A Inspired Poem

Message Received

I sow a seed,

In the darkest places,

Of my heart,

Where it sits and waits,

For waters to flow.

The waters of love,

Did finally come,

The light of hope,

Shone fierce and strong,

Yet before it could form,

Take root or move,

It required a sound.

Until now, I was confused,

For it was not the seed,

The held the bloom.

Before all the blood,

The birth and growth,

In the corner of my soul,

The sound was spoke.

And in the darkest places,

Of my heart,

Healing Practice

I have been learning Reiki. I have a plan to follow through with Reiki as a practice but it takes time. But this isn't the point.

Since starting Reiki, I have felt more grounded than I have in a long time. The only down side is that my more open, heavenly gifts are stuck with that earthy energy. Which is thick as mud and slow as it too. Though, I am hoping as I begin to settle into my personal, daily practice it will become easier to 'hear' again.

I feel that the healing angels have been blessing this learning and the plans I have for it. Raphael in particular has been a support as I work through my classes. I am hoping the angels will help guide me forward as my class comes to a close. I have taken Raphael's symbol as an emblem for my healing practice.

Overly Grounded

The angels are always with us.
This is something i have found to be true no matter the circumstances. Even when you are not in-tune with the higher realms, they are in tune to you. As always.
So with that said, I have been continuing my Reiki study. I slipped into my level two class at the very last minute and am very grounded. Unfortunately being overly grounded has left me un-tuned to the higher realms. As I continue into my class i have faith that I will once again open to my higher chakras.
Right now, I am focusing on my Reiki.

Updates and Reiki

I have my reiki table! Massage table, but I will be using it for reiki. Since taking my reiki class, I have felt a support from the angels that I usually talk to. I'm not sure where this may go, but I know they will have my back.

However, I have been thinking of starting a reiki LLC. I am hoping to lead up to it over time. But first I will be saving money. Whenever I think of what this LLC might end up looking like, I see the symbol I associate with Raphael prancing through my mind. Unicorns. Yes. Unicorns. Unicorns are associated with archangel Raphael for many people, but for me it really is the symbol of Raphael. This feels like a bit of a blessing from Raphael to explore this decision.

Reiki Level 1 done!

I have been doing some Reiki work with a few different people. I am really excited to practice even more in the days to come! I will be meeting with local friends to work on them and a few small gatherings in April. So far i feel pretty good about what I have been learning and doing. I am excited to see when the Level 2 training may be offered. Angels bless my patience, I'm not sure i'll be able to hold out.

Animal Blessing with Ariel

Animal Blessing with Ariel

Supplies:
-your animals
-small bowl water
-mint leaves
-picture/statue/printed picture of the angel Ariel

In your space, which can be outside or inside, hang the picture of Ariel or place the statue within sight. Take the bowl of water in one hand and the mint leaves in your other hand. Relax and visualize the angel Ariel standing before you. They bend over the leaves and water, blowing in their blessing. When you have held the visualization say...

"Angel blessed,
May you rest,
In peace and joy,
Under wings employed"

Crush the mint leaves in your hand and drop them into the bowl of water. The water and mint are purified by Artiel. When your animals approach, drip a drop upon their backs if they allow. If not, splash the ground in front of them. Ask your angels and the angels that look after your animals for continued blessing. If you have water left over splash some at your front door and back door.

The Angel Altar

The Angel Altar

Angel altars are lovely focal points of positive energy. They create a space, a door that our angels can use to visit with us. My angel altar is decorated with angel statues and crystals. I also use it as a healing altar, so I have animal statues and a bunch of crystals. Having a physical presence of the angels in my home helps to remind me to talk and work with them. So boost the positive in your home with a few angelic images.

Things have come along...

Some fun things have been going on.

I have finished writing my pagan classes and the school is up!

I am starting my reiki classes this thursday and i am so excited!

And i have been doing a series of angel paintings. i am up to 30 paintings. Once i get to 36 or so I will be going to the second phase of it. I am hoping to create cards and booklet!

The angels gave me a wide birth to finish all my projects. Now i hope to establish a relationship with the angels that i am just now learning about. I hope to be sharing these experiences with everyone soon.

Classes Almost Written

I am getting closer to finishing my pagan classes for WC. I think its been quiet because the angels are giving me room to work. I am excited to see this project complete. Wish me luck!

Anael's Energy Cleansing

For those that may not know, there are many angels that share duties. The angels that I have met that preside over love are Shekinah, rphael, Theliel, Anael, Haniel, and more. Recently Anael has been showing up and began to show me another part of her 'job.' Anael is an angel of love in its many forms. She is even the angel of physical love. Anael is sound counsel in all manner of emotional trouble, but issues dealing with romance and love are her specialties.

Energy Cleansing 

Purpose: realign your personal energies and release excess emotion

Supplies:

-yourself

Relax and lay on your back or in a chair. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Center and connect with the Universe around you. In your mind, ask the angel of Anael to come and be with you. Take in a deep breath and try to imagine what Anael would look like to you. Let the image solidifying in your mind as you call to Anael. When you feel the image become solid and the angel's presence continue.

Thank Anael for coming and take in a breath. Say,

"Kind Angel of Love,

The energy of my heart pours into my being,

It moves without course and direction,

Please, dear angel, draw this energy from me"

Visualize Anael placing her hands above your head. The energy is drawn to her hands and forms like cotton candy between her palms. Keep the visualization until it fades and relax. Mentally tell affirm your want to have balance in your heart. When you feel calm and content think of Anael. Thank the Angel of Live for helping you get rid of excess emotional energy. Release the image of the angel with love and gratitude.

If there was ever a mother of angels, it would be Shekinah. Her form is lovely and her aura bursts with rainbows. There is never a day that this angel is without a kind word. As an angel of mercy and compassion Shekinah exudes the presence of peace. Not many angels come with a set gender of male or female which makes this one kind of special.
