Unlikely Friends

Angels are always around us and sometimes they are random.
With all the tragedies of this past year, and then the 2012 debacle, the winds are a bit stuffed with spirits. Many of the subtle angels have been showing up even more than usual. I find Raziel coming up more than the secretive angel ever has. and even now he smiles and teases, 'It is just because I love you so much."
Keep an ear out for unlikely friends showing up. Could be an adventure.

   There is no one that is the epitome of mystery like Raziel. Raziel is the angel of mystery and hidden things. His energy is like quicksilver and only can be sensed when he wants us to. This is the very essence of this angel's energy. Raziel holds the secrets of the Universe and shows up in our lives when we begin to reveal our own secrets. He helps guide us as we learn new systems of magick and philosphy.
   In magick, Raziel is a great angel to call on for protection, initiation into new traditions, and divination. there is nothing like having this sneaky angel show up to drop a few insights in your time of need. Seers, oracles, and psychics are special to Raziel. Also philosophy is his bread and butter when it comes to approaching new people. Be open to the secrets of your heart and Raziel will be there.

Seasonal change

Change is on the horizon. This is not unusual at this time of year. But as the holiday season seems to draw in closer and closer, its hard to keep focused on the road ahead. The angels love this season of joy and love. Its hard not to enjoy it. As change does come through, the angels will be with us and though they may be silent, they will never be still.

Winter Focus

Winter is a wonderful reminder to turn inward. It is a time of reflection and focus on oneself. This winter i will be focusing on healing myself and the healing arts. So far I have moved through my first 4 chakras from root to heart. These next three will be brought up in december. With my angels, guides, and totems at my side I know it will happen with my best interests at heart.

I hope everyone has the opportunity to work on something over this winter so that when spring comes they will be able to start anew.

Angel Bio- Azrael : Angel of Death and Transitions

Not a very pretty topic to discuss. Yet, it doesn't need to be scary. The idea of mortality can be intimidating, even terrifying. This is why one of the most gentle and loving angels is set to the task of bringing us out of life. Azrael, the angel of death, is the most cherished friend any of us could ask for. He comes to us during times of change and uncertainty, not only when our time in this world is over. Azrael has seen the best and worst of people yet can still show us his bittersweet, sad smile when we look up into his face. Truly a friend to any who would seek out this angel's guidance.
Azrael's energy is subtle and expansive. Very much like the air we breath, he can step up beside us within the span of a heart beat. Like a shadow, he is there at every turn and footstep yet only when we are ready will he come to us. There is no fear with this angel, only a comfort that we can't fully understand until we feel it.

Long Time Friend

A few days ago I was lying in bed, ready to sleep. In the middle of my half-awake mind I felt something very familiar. I woke up my intuition and 'saw' the familiar spirit. It appeared as an androgynous fairy princess type all decked out in silver and blue with long white hair. I let my mind try to wander in my memories where I might have met this spirit before. I then felt a memory pulled out from my childhood. It was a quiet, lonely time and I saw this spirit beside my child-self as she lay in bed daydreaming as she tried to sleep. The spirit watched over her. In my mind i saw the face of the spirit and the same look. Gentle, loving, and bittersweet that I had felt a hundred times before. I recognized the spirit as an angel who has been reappearing in my life these past couple of years. I think a bio is in order.

Healing Focus

A new focus for winter has been pointed out to me. There are a few things I need to do this winter that I think will help everyone in the long run. Firstly, I will be 'training' under the angel Raphael to heal my own self. AND I will also be exploring other healing ways, including reiki. My theme for winter is 'healing' and I have one of the best teachers to help me understand all that comes with it. Wish me luck!

Spirits on Halloween

As fall and winter set in, I can already feel the quietness brimming. Although Halloween will be the big rush of spirits before the calm. I'm hoping to set up a ritual for Samhain (halloween) before the winter energy cools everything down.

Cassiel is not an angel you hear a lot about. He is the guardian of the oppressed, the comforter of the crying, and the angel to call upon in the midst of those stormy nights. As angel of solitude and tears, Cassiel is a gentle angel that wants to help those in need. At first he can be scary as lurking in the dark and coming out under moonlight is his motif. But he is a kind spiritual being that helps up stand up against our inner fears and doubts. Cassiel especially loves Halloween. The costumes, the revelry, and the running around as the veil is thinnest all excite him. As the angel of the planet Saturn, his is associated with the earth and time.
In magick, Cassiel loves to work in protection rituals and spells. He is also good to have in working with your shadow aspect. Cassiel is a good companion and his energies are soft and subtle. He is a shoulder to cry on and a guardian to rely on.

The many things in life..

There have been many things going on in my life right now. From my new marriage, a new job, to my husband's anxiety. but things are looking up and i am hoping to explore a whole new side of my path. There are bright things in the future and i plan on living my life to the fullest.

Good Spirits and Angels

Not many people think of angels as just another type of spirit. They are one of the highest vibrational beings and that is what differentiates them from other spirits. But it does not mean they are not spirits. Just like totems, faery, or dragons, they move through the realms of physical and spiritual. The closer the spirits come to physical reality the more earthy their energy and more middle vibrational. As high vibrational beings, angels seek to bring other beings in harmony with the Universe and themselves.

Mabon: Good Spirits Give Thanks

This is a small ritual to celebrate Mabon, the sabbat of thanksgiving and transition. Enjoy!

Supplies:

• 4 white candles 
• 1 glass bowl
• lighter
• bread, fruit, and other feast item
• glass of juice or water
• table and chairs

Preparations:
Place one candle in each direction. In the center set up a table with atleast two chairs, one for you and one empty. More chairs can be added if you like. Set the bowl out and put food into it. All kinds. Light your candles.

Face the east and east-candle. Close your eyes, say:

"To the East comes Raphael, angel of healing, and with him stand all the good spirits of healing."

Visual Raphael, the healing angel, surrounded by bright happy faces of many other good spirits. These are spirits of all kinds, animals, plants, and all help to heal. Conjure up all the happy memories you have had over the summer months. When you feel that joy open your eyes and turn to the south. Face the south, close your eyes, and say:

"To the South comes Michael, angel of protection, and with him stride all the good spirits of guardianship."

Visualize Michael in his gleaming armor and sword in hand. Beside him seems to stand a vast army of all types. From grand predator animals to faery. Think over those times where you may have needed the protection or channeled that protective energy in the past summer months. When you have conjured up that feeling, open your eyes. Face the west, close your eyes, and say:

"To the West comes Gabriel, angel of guidance, and with him walk all the good spirits of counsel."

Visualize Gabriel with his cool colored robes, scroll in hand. He walks beside men, women, and spirits of intellect and guidance. These are the spirits of sound decision and understanding. Remember the times that you may have needed the guidance or have been the guide of another person in your life. When you have this memory in your mind, open your eyes. Face the north, close your eyes, and say:

"To the North comes Ariel, angel of nature, with her rest all the good spirits of nature."

Visualize Ariel, angel of nature, surrounded by the great forests. Around her are animals, faery, and good spirits connected to the Earth. The walk a path of balance with nature. Draw to mind the moments over the past summer where you have been struck by the peace and beauty of nature. Whether it was staring at a beach or spotting an elusive animal for the first time. Take a minute to relive that awe. When it had sunk into your heart, open your eyes. Turn to the center and approach your table. Pull out both chair. Stand before your table and raise your cup, as if making a toast. As you relive each happy moment, let the positive energy fill you up. Say:

"I give thanks to the influence of the angels and all goodly spirits. I share my bounty with those that have aided in its harvesting. Blessed be!"

Sit down at your table and partake of the food. Leave some for the spirit. When you are ready to finish up. Extinguish each candle, saying at each one:

"Go if you must, stay if you will. Blessed be."

Supplies:

-bowl of water

-three silver coins

Purpose:

Creating a clear line of communication between the Universe and yourself

Place the bowl of water on the windowsill or table where the moonlight can shine on it. On a full moon, take three silver coins and hold them in your hand. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Visualize archangel Gabriel before you. He seems to glow in the moonlight. Visualize him lifting his hands toward the full moon as it's light brightens, revealing all of the hidden spaces in the night. Hold your coin and seem them being chargd by the moon's light. When they are charged open your eyes. Say,

"The full moon rises in the dark of night,

Blessings are made through this prayer

Gabriel the angel my path does light,

Now I walk without fear."

Drop one coin into bowl.

"The first is for clarity in my future dreams,

Guiding me to insights I could not before see."

Drop next coin into water.

"The second is for truth which I will speak,

And truth that I always will seek."

Drop third coin into water.

"The third is for guidance that I can learn,

From the angels messages I do yearn."

Take a deep breath and see Gabriel in your mind. Relax and say,

"Thanks to the moon's blessing shine,

Thanks be to the angels in this time. 

Blessed be!"

Let the coins soak until dawn. Take them out of the water and keep them on your person to attract the energy called for in the spell.

One of the most well known angels, its not hard to conjure the image of Gabriel. Usually with a golden horn in tow. The image can be a bit intimidating and so can his messages. But Gabriel isn't all business all the time. Though it can seem like it, if you have an honest heart and are really honest with yourself he tends not to be so frightful. 'Try your hardest' is his motto and as long as you hold to it there is more than enough reassurance under his big fluffy wings.

  As a herald of divine messages, Gabriel is associated with prayer, communication, careers, and more. He is a guide to help people find their true calling and go for it. If you are looking for your purpose or your vocational, ask Gabriel for help. Like a GPS, Gabriel knows where you are at all times and knows where you are going. Just ask for the inspiration and he will point the way. 

Coming Harvests and a Silent Pause

As we approach the harvest festivals the themes of sacrifice, death, and rebirth are called up. While not the most uplifting topic to ponder, it does help put things in perspective. And with so many tragedies coming through the world, a moment of silent thought is sometimes called for. But it doesn't need to be frightful or sad. Like all other things, there are angels that were given roles to help with the transition. Cassiel, angel of tears, is the quiet comforter of the sorrowful and oppressed. Cameal, angel of unconditional love, helps us find peace and acceptance. The most feared angels though, are the angels of death. Yet Azrael is the first to come to the aid of the grieving and bring as much comfort as he can. The angels don't get to choose their duties and have enough patience to help us deal with our fears. In a time of coming winter, give a pause to thank these angels for doing more for us than we can imagine.

Preparing For Day

For the next few weeks I am preparing for a Pagan Pride Day in which I intend to sell a few things. So for now I will be busy getting crafts, paintings, and jewelry made! If you are in the Dayton area, its September 8th, so google it and you'll be set!

Angel Parties!

A great way to bring around any angel is with an angel party. Whether its just you or all your friends, it can be a wonderful experience. The important thing is not to talk or watch angel related things, but to raise your energy to a higher, better place. Watching uplifting or just plain funny movies can be a great way to lift your group up. Good food, games, or simple fun divination. If someone you know does Reiki or other healing practice, let them practice on you. You could curl up in night gowns or PJ's, have bowl fulls of marshmellows and popcorn. Be as silly or sophisticated as you like. Dinner parties can be just as angel-centric. Have everyone wear white and decorate with crystals or feathers. Use art to bring you that energy. Really, as long as you are having a happy and light filled time, you are creating an angel atmosphere. Never let anyone at your party feel sad or disappointed.

Ideas...
-At the start of your party, stand in a circle, hold hands, and ask for an angel blessing.
-When the party is wrapping up, stand in a circle and ask for the angels to bless everyone on their way home.
-Do things in honor of a specific angel if you have an intention in mind. Play games for Sandalphon! Read tarot card with Uriel. Gather up a donation for a local animal shelter in honor or Ariel and Camael. The list goes on..
-Decorate for your party! If you want love angels to come in, decorate with pinks, reds, and rose quartz. Think themes!
-Serve foods and snacks that give the same feeling as the energy you want. Or set out a food or snack that a specific angel likes. Marshmellows for Sandalphon, red velvet cake for Iophiel, cinnamon buns for Ambriel.
-Lay out a special place in your home or party for the angels to sit. Set out a place mat with a card that requests the presence of your angels.

Types of Parties the Angels can Help With...

-Speed dating! You'd never guess, but this would be a great way to incorporate angels. Or if your trying to bring singles together, why not ask Anael to come along? Decorate with rose quartz and carnelian. Nothing too pushy.
-Birthdays! While a birthday may have its own theme, you can hang a few sun catcher crystals in your windows to invite he angels to celebrate.
-Weddings! If you are throwing a bridal shower, why not decorate with white feathers? Or crystals? An engaged couple needs all the blessings they can get.
-Baby showers! Who isn't happy to celebrate a new life? Plush animals are a great tribute to angel Ariel and Camael. Though Uriel isn't one to cuddle, he may show up if you ask for a blessing for the expectant mother.
-Anniversaries! While becoming rarer now-a-days, the angels love to come and celebrate a lasting union. Iophiel loves helping with any kind of party, but seems well suited for the weddings and anniversaries.
-Initiations! Whether your being inducted into a coven, high scoll, college, or a new job, the angels enjoy blessing you in new endeavors!


With so many ideas, I'm sure any party can be not only great but blessed. Party on!

Michael Protection Spell

Purpose: To protect your home.

Place the candles around the room in the center of your home. Light them and stand in the center of them. Take a deep breath and lift up your hands above your head. Visualize Michael, the archangel, standing before you. Feel the warm southern winds moving around you. Say,

"Before, around, walking Michael. With sword in hand the angel moves!"

Feel his energy gather around you. Michael is a warrior and protector, keeping all safe. Visualize a ball of golden energy form in your hands. Say,

"The angels protect me and mine. My home is safe from harm, from fear."

Take in a deep breath and imagine the ball growing and growing until it surrounds your entire home. Visualize it crystalizing, solidifying around your home as a crystal shield. Relax and take a deep breath and exhale slowly. Say,

"With Michael's blessing, this space be kept. So mote it be!"

Give thanks to the archangel.  

Silence Broken

As many know, the events in Colorado movie theater, have shaken many peoples' nerves. Fear and saddens swept through everyone yesterday and while some are still suffering in grief or pain, we pray that they are comforted.
After getting up yesterday I read the story on CNN.com and my heart sank. I went about my day and on my way to the store Cassiel appeared. He was sad, but he maintained his expression and tried to comfort me as well. I hadn't directly spoken to the angels in over two weeks until yesterday. I asked him where his brothers and sisters were. Cassiel patted my back and said they were with the people in Colorado, trying to ease the burden. I know the angels are with the families of the dead and injured, not to mention do what they can for the people involved.
If your heart is still sunk, Cassiel will be there to help you and so will all the angels.
Healing thoughts....

Doubts?

If you have been on your path a while, you are likely to encounter doubt. Doubts and fears are very human, very normal. Sometimes I have doubts too, but then I can't help but remember how my path rings in my heart. It is hard to not be effected by the words of others but it is our path, and no one can live it for us.

Angel Atmosphere

Angels are like many other spirits. What defines them is their vibrational energy and motivations. So when bringing them into your spell work you just need to treat them like other spirits. Learn to keep your energy in harmony with their's and invite them into your life. Here are some simple things you can get to bring angels into your life and workings:

-Create an angel altar
Whether for healing, love, prosperity, or just in general, this gives a physical anchor for angelic energy in your home.

-Angel Statues and Art
While they can serve as a physical focus of angel energy they also serve as reminders to take time to connect with the angels. If you charge them they can even energize and calm a room.

-Potted Plants and Flowers
Plants and flowers bring energy into a room and if you especially want a natur/animal loving angel energy in your home these can be very useful.

-Incense and Candles
There are so many varieties of scents and colors that you really need to research what angel relates to what. White is a good general angel color.

-Crystals
As the above, there are tons of different crystals. One of the most positive crystals you can bring into your home is a sun catcher crystal. They are crystals made to hang in a window to shine rainbows in your home. While not very valuable, they send out a very uplifting and positive energy.

Of course you don't need to buy anything to invite angels into your life. Just a sincere desire to connect is all you really need. Everything else just helps create atmosphere.

Exciting Week!

So things have been very good this week! I have had a financially sound week, even stumbled across an untouched $50 book store gift card. What's more, I am able to afford Reiki level 1 training a month earlier than i thought I would! So that is yet another thing I will be adding to my project list. It is an exciting time.

I blogged not too long ago about a sudden trance experience I had one night. Well, I had been looking up Reiki training just before I was pulled into that particular experience. I think this was a clear indication that Reiki was something I was supposed to look into. I even received a dream involving someone that seemed to want to talk with me. While meditating this week I encountered that man again. Gruff, friendly, and warm, he confessed to be a spirit guide of mine! I have had trouble getting in touch with spirit guides, so this was a real treat. He was a healer and would be there to help me with this next step in my life. I can't wait to see what will come of this.

Anyone who has ever visited the ocean knows the awesome power of water. Waterfalls, hot springs, rivers, and lakes, all of these things are favored by Assiel (Aye-see-el or Aw-see-el). While not a very popular or heard of angel, this healing angel has a lot to offer. Through the use of water, Assiel can be called on to help heal yourself and others.

Assiel's presence is very subtle, making him hard to detect. But once you establish a good connection, there is something very calming about him. Although you may me sitting in the middle of a heat wave when you meditate, while connecting with Assiel you will feel like you are in the middle of a hot spring.

Using Song - Cleansing my room

Today an old friend is coming in to visit. We don't get many visitors so I wanted to try and cleanse my office, which is where he will be sleeping. I didn't feel like trying to cleanse with the LBRP because, let's face it, it is so formal. So, with my new angel-horn bell-rattle in hand I started up a little song. Turning to the east I shoot my bells and closed my eyes. I visualized the rising sun, the soft warm colors of the sky and rang my bells. They are soft and gentle, the type of bells you can find in craft stores. I took a breath and held the image of the dawn. Then I started thinking of the angel Raphael, healer and angel of the east. Here is what I came up with (I paraphrase, since I was winging it):

"Raphael, come from the East.

Dawn light cleanse this space.

Angels of the dawn, come through this place.

Fill and cleanse it of darker things.

Raphael, angel of the East,

fill us with your energy.

Dawn rises and I embrace,

its cleansing energy."

Now as I sit in my office, I feel very calm and happy. I know that the angels are helping to circulate the energy of my home.

Happy July 4th!

Today is usually a busy day with barbeques and fireworks, but this morning has been very slow. I know by tonight there will be plenty of fireworks and hundreds of people watching them around the state and beyond. Blessings on everyone, as the angels will be right there partying with you!

A Fast and Deep Trance

Last night, after coming home from staying at my in-laws, I felt a very strange feeling. My back was still and somehow teeming with energy. I tried to hold still and my limbs became relaxed and filled with energy. After a minute, my eyes closed and I felt myself pulled. I was pulled back at such a speed it was disorienting. I was held by an angel I could not really see. I was then passed off to another angel I could barely see. This angel gently placed me upon a white marble tile floor. It was all very bright and very pleasant. I stood and approached a large, nearly tub-sized bowl of white stone. It was on a small stand and the rim came up to my mid section. As I approached a woman in white and gold was on the other side. She smiled and told me,

"Seek what you need and it will be presented to you. Always."

I felt so calm and relaxed. I didn't really know what to say. When I opened my eyes I wrote down my experience. I had never felt that before or brought into a deep trance so quickly. Just before I went under, I was looking at Reiki training and Angel Energy work training. I think this was a clear nudge on the angels behalf.

Angelic Alphabets

 If you haven't noticed, my angel board has very strange symbols on them. These are the symbols known as the Angelic Alphabet. There are a few different types. I enjoy this type because it is a little simpler. The symbols for I and J are the same, as are the symbols for U and V. They can be used for many things but my favorite is writing angel names in the letters.

Here is my angel board. Much like a ouija board, it helps to channel spirits. Not only angels but other spirits. When blessed it can allow neutral to good spirits to communicate through it. I used angelic alphabet along with the regular alphabet. I was inspired by the rainbow colors.

Angel Bio - Kerubiel : The Great Sphinx

A long, long time ago the choir of Cherubim were described as being a combination of ox, human, eagle, and lion. These are the animals that compose the sphinx. It should come to no surprise then that Kerubiel can be first encountered as this creature or simply a winged lion. Kerubiel is a strong and confidant warrior angel that comes to our aid when we feel vulnerable. Though protecting is his main task, he seems to enjoy teaching through experience.

Kerubiel's energy is that of a strong, sure, guardian. With a wide smile and loud, friendly demeanor you can't really be on Kerubiel's bad side. But don't get him wrong, he can teach you a lesson is you choose to pick on the young, sensitive, or emotional. His motto is most likely to be, "Have no fear! Kerubiel is here!"

Ritual : Healing Waters of Assiel

Assiel (Ay-see-el  or Au-see-el) is an angel of healing, but healing through water. While he mainly deals with the bladder, kidneys, and blood his healing touch can be applied further than just these areas. This small ritual is for sending healing energy into your body or the body of one who needs healing.

Supplies:
-Green or teal ribbon
-Teapot
-Lavender, raspberry leaf, or peppermint
-bathtub
-Photograph of person in need of healing (if it is not yourself or if they are not present. This picture should also be disposable)

Preparations:
Fill your teapot with water and heat it up. As it sits on the stove or in the microwave getting warm, cut a length of ribbon.  Place the ribbon to the side, it should be long enough to tie around the affected area of the body. For a picture, cut just enough to tie around the picture. Next set out less than a handful of your herb of choice. Take your supplies into the bathroom. Return to gather your teapot when the water is hot.

Ritual : Healing Waters of Assiel

Bring your teapot, now full of very hot water, into the bathroom and place it on the counter. Pull the lid off and set it to the side. Scoop up your herb and hold them in both hands. Close your eyes and hold your herb up as if you were offering it up. Take a deep breath and imagine a soft blue light hovering just over the herb, feel it rushing over your hands and shedding soft energy into the herb. Say,

"Through this bounty of the earth our bodies partake of health."

Open your eyes. Drop the herbs into the teapot and put the lid back on. Hold your hands just over the teapot, close your eyes. Visualize the blue light swirling around the teapot and move into the teapot to fill up the water. Say,

"Through the essence of water our hearts partake of wellness."

Open your eyes and take up the ribbon. Tie the ribbon around the part of your body in need of healing. If this is your torso, neck or head, make sure you cut a long enough piece of ribbon to tie it loosely around the area. For the picture tie the ribbon around the photograph. When you are done, close your eyes and say,

"Through my intention I mark the place that healing is needed."

While the herbs are soaking draw yourself a bath. If you can't draw a bath run the shower. If the area is small you can use the sink. Fill the sink for the photograph. As the water is running, close your eyes. Visualize the swirling blue light moving around and into the waters. It infuses the water with light. Say,

"The angel Assiel bless these waters. On this day where your guidance and help is needed, please aid me with your blessing."

Open your eyes. Continue filling up the tub/sink/(let the shower run) until it is filled enough to accommodate you. Step back and reverently take your teapot and place it on the floor (or counter) beside your tub/sink/shower. Get into the water and take a few deep breathes to relax you. The ribbon should be on still and the area/photograph should be submerged or soaked. Take the teapot and slowly pour its steeped water into the tub/sink. If using the shower pour the water slowly over the affected area. Make sure it is not hot enough to hurt you. Close your eyes. Visualize that water seeping deeply into your body. It is blue light that spreads from your skin down to your bones. It moves and fluctuates in your body. Take a deep breath in and feel its warm energy bringing healing. Exhale and see bit of grey oily substance leaking out of your skin, being replaced by the light. With each exhale, see more of the oil move from your body and into the surrounding water, or down the drain for the shower. For the photo, imagine the other person encased in the water of light and see the oil rising to the surface to be destroyed.
When you are ready to get out of the tub take one more deep breath. Let your gratitude and love of life overwhelm your heart. Imagine your body strong and healthy. Open your eyes and get out of the tub or shower, Take the picture from the sink. Sit back and unplug the tub or sink, let the shower run a few seconds longer. Watch the water move down the drain and as the last of it goes say,

"And the blessing of Assiel be with you."

Take the ribbon off and let it dry. Once dry it can be used again and again. It can also become a trigger for healing even without the ritual.

Suggestions:
-Do first ritual on a full moon
-Do ritual once a week for 1 month or more if needed
-You can place amethysts into the tub/sink for extra healing energy
-Rubbing the affected area of your body with a healing stone can amplify the energies

Note: If you feel more comfortable using Raphael instead of Assiel, you can substitute them

You Know You're..

So the meet and greet with local pagans went great. My husband was able to relax and trust. me. Had a great time and did some networking.

Today I performed the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. For those that don't know, its a very simple but powerful ritual to clear away negativity from yourself and your home. One part asks you to invoke the archangels Raphael, Michael, Gabriel, and Ariel. Their presence can really be felt. After I was done and felt the negativity slip away, I went into meditation to encounter some new angels.
though a bit unfocused, mostly from being abuzz with ritual energy, I was able to meet with an entire group of angels I had been studying. Assiel, Muriel, Haziel, Sariel, and Anael were all there. It was quite pleasant. I was surprised though when Gabriel showed up. Gabriel's energy is very reminiscent of my mother's energy which can be very driven and analytical. I was nervous. But he hugged me tight and told me to stop being so hard on myself. I push my expectations hard when trying to find a job and do my best. Though I haven't been able to get a job, it has badly wounded my confidence and my opinion of myself. Well you know you're too hard on yourself when the angel of hard work says you are. Gabriel went on to say, "All you can do is do the best you can. And you have. Don't be so hard on yourself."
I have to say, I almost cried. I could feel that acknowledgement that I wasn't failing or giving up sink into my bones. It was just what I needed. All the angels around me smiled and agreed before I returned to my physical body. Even as I sit here writing I feel the cooling effect Gabriel's words have on my spirit.

Not great, but ok

So, not a great day. Trying to meet new people in a new place can be both challenging and scary. For my husband, it can be upsettingly scary. So had a bit of a fight with him about hanging out with an online friend tomorrow. Now I just feel..blah in a bad way. I'm hoping rest cures it. But while showering who should pop up but Ambriel and Theliel.

Ambriel: "It'll be ok. And if tomorrow goes well, you'll shine!"
Me: "Thanks Ambriel. He just gets so paranoid. Maybe I'm just too trusting"
Theliel:"It only makes sense. You're too trusting. He's too paranoid. Between you you'll pop out the perfect kid."
Me: "Thanks Theliel.. i think."

I giggled and the angels took their leave. Their tasks done as soon as I cheered up. I know tomorrow will be better. I just want the blah to get out.

A scoop of fiddling..

So I finished up writing lesson one of Angel Magick & Communication elective class for MDAP. AND I was fiddling around with a video/recording for a guided meditation for the class. If this goes well I may be able to make it a full time thing. I hear no complaints from the peanut gallery of angels. Since getting busy they've kept a cheerful eye on my goings-on, but keep to themselves. I'll enjoy getting back to regular meditating and back to dieting soon.

Quick Convo

So while unloading the groceries today I was thinking over what I had read another angel intuitive say. She said that archangel Michael has been known to make himself known by the sudden increase in heat. The angel intuitive went on to say that it could feel like a hot flash. I thought this over for a few seconds and said, "Michael should be the angel that governs menopause."
I giggled then I heard his reply. He smiled, "I know. I make all the women hot under the collar."
Needless to say I laughed.
While I don't get extensive conversations often, these small reminders of their presence make me smile.

Inspiration Comes Around

I have been feeling very inspired. This came out of me at one point. Now I am just busy. I'm excited about sharing my love of angels with The Witches Collective witch school. My first type of spell work involved angels, which have always stuck with me. All of my days seem to be packed full of magick now.

Intense Emotions

There is a popular self-help author on facebook that made a good point earlier this week. Self-help writers may seem like they have it all together, with confident smiles on their books, but in reality they go through just as many problems as everyone else. In fact many go through quite a few more problems than most so they can better help others. this weekend was an emotional ride or highs and lows. I hope that these emotionally stressed and intense times will eventually allow me to help someone.

Angel Elective

As I have mentioned, I am the admin and a teacher at The Witches Collective.com. It has been requested that I write a small Angel Magick elective class for the witch school. I'm waiting one more day before really starting to craft it out. I am already starting the brain storming process. If anything I could always use the material for my book!

Hello and Good Day

When I first started looking into angels from a pagan perspective, I was scared. Scared that choosing a pagan path would make the angels angry or disappointed. So I looked up two angels I thought I would get along with and started talking. I talked with them all the time. Of course I was in 9th grade and it was a one-sided conversation. I would tell these two angels everything and anything I pleased. I never heard a peep, but it felt good to have someone listen. By 11th grade I was looking into my pagan path and angels were on the back burner. Only when I began my junior and senior year in college did my angel interest pick back up. In senior year I began talking with them again. And was I surprised when I began feeling intuitive responses. I'm not sure when I had been developing my intuition but it had come along enough to let me begin communicating with my long time friends. Now its hard to keep them out and more keep trying to catch my eye. So my advice to any angel lovers out there. Just talk, even if it is a one-sided affair. Just say 'good morning.'

Inspiration Strikes

Writing has never been an easy thing. So when I began writing down names of angels that I felt inspired to read about and learn about. One by one I have been writing down about the angels I will soon be working with. Some are healers, others are protectors. Inspiration is my biggest sign. My intuition seems to move through my inspiration to motivate me. I hope I can manage to get to know these angels as well as the others I already have a great relationship with!

One of those days

It can be challenging in this day and age to get anything done. Even someone's attention or focus is sometimes too much to ask for. Especially when there is something bigger on their mind. I find myself falling into an unfocused, unorganized day like that. Fortunately as I sit here typing, I am struck with a thought. Angels always have something on their minds, yet they always listen to any and all concerns we have. Even a friendly 'hey' to them is met with joy as you go about your day. If you are having one of those days too, just remember to give a second or two to say a friendly 'hello' to your angels. It might give you just enough of a pause in your schedule to gather up your focus again.

Anael is Love

Yesterday I felt a little off balance so I decided to meditate. I had just gotten back from my honeymoon and had bought a variety of stones. One of which was a selenite egg. I held the selenite egg as I meditated and wow, was I impressed. My mind was flooded with memories of my wedding day, only a few weeks passed now. And just beyond my vision was an angel. She looked like a young indian girl with glasses. I heard her voice like a mental whisper behind my ear. She had this to tell me, "All you need in your life is one perfect day. As long as you have that one day you can stretch your love forever."
I broke down and cried happy tears. It was beautiful and I hope she'll continue to work with me.

Ambriel, Weddings, and Divine Intervention

I am submitting a blurb about one of our favorite angels, Ambriel this may! As May is her favorite month, it is a good time. If you do not know, I was engaged to a great guy December 10th, 2010. Well, on May 5th 2012 we were married. The moment I got engaged, I put Iophiel, angel of beauty and celebration in charge of planning my wedding. I knew that if I left it in her hands we would have a great time. Well 4 months from our wedding date I was just over whelmed! I was getting completely out of sorts. So the weekend of my bridal shower, a full month and two weeks before the wedding, a random occurrence occurred! Our previous caterer had an injury and had to pass us along to another caterer. Well, that caterer completely saved our wedding reception! He swooped in and was able to take care of everything from the tables to the dishes, to the centerpieces, to the great food. It was perfect. This great caterers last name, I found out, is Bast. At hearing that I was floored. Bast being one of the three goddesses that came forth to claim me as her own. I have no doubt the goddess came to save my day. And the weather on my date was absolutely brilliant! Not too hot, not too cold. Just enough sunlight for pictures, sweet breeze, and plenty of greenery. I am very grateful to the God, Goddess, and angels for all the hard work that was put into making my wedding the most perfect day.

I'm Published!

So I received an email from Circle Magazine saying they used two of my pieces. One was a guided meditation but the second was a blurb about an angel! So there you go! I am a published pagan writer. I hope to continue this trend including getting a book published someday. Fingers crossed and keep your eyes out for the name 'BlackTail Sphinx.'

Research is Key

In order to better understand how angels work with the magickal folk I have tentatively began to study the history of angel magick. First, I am cracking open my fears and getting past them to read up on Enochian magick. This system of magick has been given a lot of bad press, so learning that reading and doing are two different things is important for me. So stayed tuned friends as I research, learn,. and develop my own personal practice of angel magick!

Turn, turn turn..

After a long period of creativity and focus on art, the hibernation is coming to an end. The angels are allowing me to see and hear more clearly. They are helping to work through some sadness and financial worries that have been sneaking into my life. I will continue to bring you angel info as I continue studying.
